Dave Beeston – Skelmersdale South

Dave Beeston, 62, is a well-known and respected figure in Skelmersdale, having lived in the town since 1970. He is passionate about Skelmersdale and its people, and has no political ambition beyond representing residents.
As an Independent, he believes he can remain free from party politics and the party whip, enabling him to work with all parties for the good of his ward, Skelmersdale, and West Lancashire.
He is the co-founder of the popular Facebook community group Skem First, and played a key role in the Save Our Pools campaign — lobbying councillors, attending meetings, organising petitions and protests, and ensuring the public remained fully informed throughout.
Dave is also a Director of E Rooms in Skelmersdale, a place deeply committed to music, youth development, and inclusion. E Rooms also provides facilities and strong support for SEND individuals, offering a warm, welcoming, and safe space for all. Dave is committed to giving the residents of Skelmersdale South a strong, independent voice on the council.
