Michael Crompton – Candidate for Ormskirk East

Michael is standing as OWL candidate in Ormskirk East. He has lived in the town all his life. Michael works in Media and Leisure working all around the north west. He is not related to the Burscough property developer.

In terms of what he feel strongly about and what he would work on if elected:

1. Protecting our local environment and community character. Michael will support a Local Plan that builds homes only to meet local need, protects agricultural land and green belt and addresses climate change.

2. Improving our town and local facilities. He backs action to strengthen Ormskirk town centre including free parking pilots (which have now been achieved in local meetings), support for independent traders and improvements to public spaces. He also want to see safeguarding and investing in leisure facilities like our swimming pools.

3. Better roads, waste services and local environment. Michael will push for improved pothole repair systems, oppose reduced bin collections and back measures to tackle fly tipping and litter, because a cleaner, safer community matters to residents.

Most importantly, he believes in putting residents first working with local people and listening to what you tell me matters most.
