Our West Lancashire are calling on local people to join them in Ormskirk Town Centre on Saturday 3rd March as part of the ‘Great British Spring Clean’ organised by Keep Britain Tidy

Cllr Ian Davis said, “Many of the alleyways in the town centre that run off and behind the main shopping streets are littered or even have vegetation growing out of the base of buildings. This is often the first impression given of our town to people walking from the car parks to the shopping areas and we aim to do something about it.”

Jane Thompson, Scott ward spokesperson added, “We are organising a clean-up of the alleyways and have the equipment available for it. We’ve already had some offers of help from local people, but the amount we are able to achieve in the clean-up depends on how many local people come and give an hour or so of their time. So, if you can help on Saturday 3rd March, please come along. We are meeting at the Clock Tower at 10.30am.”
